ILD Holds First Annual Fund-Raising Event to Benefit Inner-City Youth

Where: 566 West AdamsChildren who grow up in poverty and are exposed to daily violence start out behind their peers when they arrive at school. In fact, recent research shows that the stress of constant violence impacts the development of cognitive skills, the basic skills required for learning. You can help provide a child in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood with a 12-week program to develop his or her cognitive skills and give him or her a better chance for success in school and in life. ILD is a 501(c)3 corporation, whose mission is to develop innovative, systemic and sustainable approaches to improving learning for everyone. ILD provides cognitive skills development programs to individuals who don't normally have access to such programs, and integrates the latest learning skills improvements with other supportive program elements.
